A core part of the work I am leading in the Unstable Design Lab, as well as for my own fun, explores making computational interfaces for designing weave drafts for both jacquard and frame looms. This includes “AdaCAD” an augmented drafting tool funded by the National Science Foundation that applies generative design patterns used in systems like MaxMSP and Grasshopper to woven structure design. This multi-year project is extensively documented and available for public use.
